Damaru - Small

A small wooden multi-coloured damru with leather drum heads and cotton threads around it. Lord Shiva’s damru signifies the creation and expansion of the Universe. The sound and rhythm of the drum energises the atmosphere with divinity. Its cosmic vibrations energise the Shakti or divine female energy. 

Sounding of the damru is a part of ritualistic offerings invoking Lord Shiva and may also be used in puja practices that are carried out in Mahadev’s name. It brings in waves of positivity and cleanses the mind of disturbing thoughts.
